Recently, a childhood friend, who owns this particular piece sent me a picture to share here on my website with other early works. I’m so happy to be able to share it here in my Early Works page, with other work of the same time period.
Please do review and leave comments below. I’d like to know which ones are your favorites. Perhaps, if they’re appreciated, I can have prints made of some of them?
This First Oil was done in 1957 at age 17.

Art from the early years of Robert H. Troy –
these oils feature aged patina and the familiar style of a young artist claiming his artistic voice.
The epitome of art is the ability of the artist to develop in character as his art expands through time. Troy adds insight to his development as an artist through the display of snapshots of his work from an earlier time.
Although these works are unavailable currently, they are a trend setting display of his earlier efforts.
